The Dubai Fountain at the Dubai Mall is one of the biggest attractions in Dubai, but the fountain show has gained a competitor with the arrival of the Palm Fountain.
The Palm Fountain is located on Palm Jumeirah Island, in the sea water, in front of The Pointe Mall shopping center. The spacious shopping center offers a magnificent panoramic view over the fairytale Atlantis The Palm hotel and the rest of the Palm Jumeirah island. In the evenings, the view of the Atlantis hotel becomes even more spectacular thanks to the colored water show of the Palm Fountain.

Largest fountain show in the world
The dancing fountains show covers an area of 14,000 square meters and is divided into two separate fountains combinations to the left and right of The Point Mall shopping center. Due to the huge size of the fountain show, the Palm Fountain is officially the largest fountain show in the world according to the Guinness Book of World Records.
The highest fountain of the Palm Fountain sprays the sea water more than 105 meters high, which is just under 45 meters lower than the fountain show at the Dubai Mall. The Palm Fountain has a unique feature compared to its competitor at the Dubai Mall. Every evening 3000 LED lights illuminate the upward spouting water jets, creating a magical show.
Every evening there is a 3-minute show every 30 minutes between 7:00 PM and 12:00 AM at The Point Mall. The show can be viewed for free from the mall’s pedestrian promenade. In total there are 20 different shows to watch where the fountains dance to famous pop music and songs by local artists.
How to get to the Palm Fountain
The shopping center The Pointe is easily accessible by taxi and car thanks to its location near the central road that runs on the bole of the palm island. Just before you enter the tunnel towards the Atlantis hotel you can take the exit to The Pointe shopping mall. The shopping center is indicated on almost all signs on the Palm Island.
You can park in the shopping center’s own parking garage with space for 1600 cars. Keep in mind that there is paid parking at the shopping center.
Palm Monorail
The Pointe shopping center is also easily accessible by public transport thanks to the Palm Monorail’s own station. The Palm Jumeirah monorail runs over the bole of the palm island and is connected via the starting station ”Palm Gateway” with the Dubai Tram. From various stations of the Dubai Tram you can easily switch to the Dubai metro. The Palm Monorail terminus is located at the Atlantis hotel and the Aquaventure water park.
A return ticket from the base station to Palm Jumeirah costs 30 dirham, a one-way ticket 20 dirham. A ticket to one of the stations such as The Pointe or Al Ittihad Park are cheaper. The price depends on the chosen end station. The monorail departs from the station every 15 minutes and runs between 9:00 AM and 9:45 PM from the starting station. From Atlantis The Palm, the last train departs at 10:00 PM.
