The Coin Museum is located in the historic Bur Dubai district, a museum entirely devoted to money and coins. Especially for the coin collector a visit to this museum is a must.
In the Coin Museum you can find a large collection of coins from the old Arab period in particular. In total, more than 470 different coins can be admired in the museum. They are all displayed in 8 rooms. The coins can be viewed in the special display cases and thanks to the magnifying glass screens you can view the coins very closely. On the touch screens next to the showcases you can view detailed information about the coins. Read about the minting date, the different shapes on the coin and the type of material.
The collection of the Coin Museum includes 16 special Arab-Sasanian Dirhams coins that were used in the time of the Rashidun Caliphate and the Umayyads. 115 dinar and Dirhams coins that were used in the Abbasid Caliphate and 102 coins minted on the Arabian Peninsula and the United Arab Emirates.

The Coin Museum is located in the Al Bastakiya historic area in the Bur Dubai district, near the Dubai Creek. The Coins Museum is open from Sunday to Thursday from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. The museum is closed on Friday and Saturday. Access to the museum is free.
